“vExpert EUC” becomes “End-User Compute Community”

It’s the end of the year, and this typically means reapplying for the VMware vExpert program for a lot of my fellow vExperts. For those who don’t know the vExpert program yet, you can find all the information about this wonderful community program at the vExpert Application Portal.

The vExpert program also has sub-programs for specific fields within the VMware portfolio. There are sub-programs for SDDC, Application Modernization, Multi-Cloud, Security, EUC, …

Since the merger of VMware by Broadcom, we’ve learned already that the EUC division will be a separate division within Broadcom and will not be part of the “VMware” portfolio anymore. This also means the end of the vExpert EUC sub-program. But no worries, a brand new “End-User Compute Community” is ready for take-off! We don’t know exactly what the new community program will bring, but having seen the enthusiasm of the community leads Jennifer Godwin and Holly Lehman in the past months, I’m sure exciting times are coming our way.

Have you done any EUC-related community work with Horizon or Workspace One in 2023? This can be anything from writing blog posts, public speaking, helping others on community forums like VMTN, …. Be sure to apply for the End-User Compute Community by filling in the application form now! Hurry up, applications close on January 22, 2024.

Of course, the original vExpert program still exists. If you’ve done community work related to any other VMware product be sure to also sign up for this program before January 18, 2024. The application form can be found at the vExpert Application Portal.

I wish all of my fellow vExperts an exciting 2024!
